Domaine Bliemerose is a relatively new winery, but already Christophe and Carmelle Maetz are producing wines that are worthy of consideration. Unfortunately there is not much wine to purchase, but we took all 10 cases that came to Colorado. The Bliemerose Pinot Blanc comes from a low yielding site with vines that are 20 years old on average. This wine is barrel fermented with indigenous yeast and bottled after a year in bottle. The fruit is handled carefully in the vineyard with respect to certified organic metho
The Cariñena Denominación de Origen is situated at just southeast of Zaragoza, in Aragón, in the Iberian mountains between the Campo de Cariñena Valley and the Ebro River. The grapes are grown on weathered sandstone in the Mittelhaardt region and when combined with warmer average daily temperatures the wines find a fuller fruit expression and more weight on the palate. In contrast to the tart green apple fruit style of the Mosel wines, there is more ripe
