The 2009 Rietvallei "John B" Sauvignon Blanc/Colombar(d) from South Africa has an inviting bouquet with citrus fruit, a delectable floral perfume and subtle scents of an herb garden. The flavors reflect the intensity of the bouquet with exotic floral, fresh melon, fig and citrus zestiness backed by refreshing acidity. This Sauvignon blend marries well with the assertive flavor of goat cheese as well as with fresh seafood, whether sautéed, smoked or grilled.
